GIIS Abu Dhabi community started the journey of learning, growth, and discovery, brimming with possibilities and opportunities. To celebrate the first day of school students went on an exciting journey of self-expression as they learned the art of quilt-making. Each student designed quilt squares that reflected their personalities, interests, and aspirations. These vibrant squares were then collaboratively assembled into a class quilt, serving as a symbolic representation of unity and creativity within the classroom.

In addition to the quilt project, students penned heartfelt "Letters to Their Future Self," encapsulating their personal and academic goals for the upcoming year. These letters, sealed and stored away, will serve as a time capsule to be opened at the end of the school year, allowing students to reflect on their growth and accomplishments.

Meanwhile, Grade 2 students were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm as they returned to school after the break. A special welcome activity titled "Create Your Own Sunshine" aimed to celebrate the uniqueness and significance of each student. Through a series of interactive exercises and discussions, students were encouraged to embrace their individuality, fostering a sense of joy and excitement as they reunited with old friends and forged new connections.

Not to be outdone, Grade 3 and 4 students embraced the spirit of self-discovery with the "All About Me" activity. Through introspective exercises and group discussions, students explored their unique abilities, interests, and aspirations, laying the foundation for a year of personal and academic growth.
